The Emotion concept was developed by the renowned KAMEN Architects bureau, which previously created the MIRAPOLIS quarter on Mira Avenue for Osnova Group, which in less than a year of implementation has already attracted the attention of market experts and real estate buyers.
Emotion is located on a 1.38-hectare plot at 2nd Silikatny Proezd, property 8. Administratively, this is the Khoroshevo-Mnevniki district, but in fact, it is part of Bolshoi City, an important point on the new map of the city. It is along the Zvenigorodskoye Highway that many residents of Novorizhskoye Highway, the prestigious western residential areas of the capital, travel to the center. Ivan Grekov, head of the KAMEN Architects architectural bureau, calls the transport artery one of the main points of perception of the project. “This is an important urban artery with a huge flow of people, and the construction site of the complex is a landmark, a ‘gateway’ to the city center from Bolshoi City,” he says.
It was precisely this sense of dynamism and movement in the Emotion concept that its creators sought to capture, calling the project “architectural origami.” “At one point, the entire object folds into a single plate, then, when we move forward slightly, it begins to ‘unfold,’” explains Ivan Grekov. In essence, we are talking about a spatial sculpture where nothing is accidental.
Ivan Grekov does not hide the fact that often a beautiful initial project idea is simplified during the construction process, but in the case of Emotion, according to him, everything is moving according to a different scenario. “We have come a long way: we have obtained an architectural and urban planning solution and the support of Moskomarkhitektura, and we have passed the expert review. Our decisions have been fully accepted by the customer, which means that we have been able to convince everyone,” he says.
